Where do the kayak sessions take place?
All sessions take place on the Kinver Canal, launching from the Vine Inn area in Kinver. The canal provides a calm, sheltered environment that is ideal for beginners and school groups.
How long is a session and can it be extended?
Standard sessions are 90 minutes, which works well as an introduction. For schools wishing to offer more progression, we can also deliver longer sessions or multiple sessions across several days to create a short kayaking course.
Can pupils work towards British Canoeing awards?
Yes. Where appropriate, sessions or courses can be structured to support pupils working towards British Canoeing Paddle awards, with progression based on age, experience and time available.
Do you provide all equipment?
Yes. We provide all specialist equipment, including kayaks, paddles and buoyancy aids. Schools and groups only need to provide suitable clothing and footwear for outdoor activity.
How is safety managed?
All sessions are led by qualified, DBS-checked instructors, with clear safety systems and group management in place. Sessions are planned to suit group size, ability and conditions on the day.
Can you run sessions for larger groups?
Yes. We can organise multiple sessions in a day or across several days for larger groups, allowing schools to rotate classes or run structured courses for pupils.
Is food available as part of the visit?
Woodfired pizzas can be provided on request for school and youth group bookings during term time, subject to availability and at an additional cost.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly for spring and summer term dates. Early booking helps secure preferred times and allows for smooth planning.
