Our Outdoor First Aid course is a comprehensive two-day, 16-hour programme designed specifically for teachers, outdoor education professionals, activity leaders and guides. The course equips participants with the practical first aid skills and decision-making ability needed to respond safely and effectively when help may be delayed.

This qualification is suitable for revalidating the majority of outdoor and education-related professional awards.
What the Course Covers
The course is delivered with a strong focus on outdoor environments, where emergency response times may be longer and conditions more challenging.

Scene assessment and environmental evaluation

Primary and secondary casualty surveys

Airway management and vital signs monitoring

Managing unconsciousness and choking
-
CPR for adults and children, including AED use

Wounds, bleeding, burns and shock
-
Medical emergencies, including asthma, anaphylaxis, seizures and diabetic emergencies

Fractures, soft tissue injuries and triage techniques
-
Managing incidents in remote and outdoor settings
