Bear Creek Adventures delivers practical, certified first aid training designed specifically for teachers, outdoor practitioners and education providers.

Our courses are taught by Monty Beaumont, owner of River Severn Canoes and Operations Director of Bear Creek Adventures. Monty is a former teacher and outdoor education practitioner and regularly delivers Duke of Edinburgh canoe expeditions.

This means our training is relevant, realistic and grounded in real world outdoor and school settings.

2026 Outdoor First Aid Courses – Now Open for Booking

Our two-day Outdoor First Aid course is designed specifically for teachers, outdoor education professionals and activity leaders working in environments where emergency assistance may be delayed.

Delivered through practical, scenario-based training, the course focuses on managing incidents safely and effectively in outdoor settings. Successful completion provides a recognised certification valid for three years, suitable for revalidating most outdoor qualifications. Courses run three times in 2026 at Ryhdd Covert Scout Camp, Kidderminster, in March, September and November.

Ideal for: Designated workplace first aiders

  • Full workplace first aid certification

  • Injury management & reporting

  • £220 per person

  • £1,200 group booking (up to 12 people)

Course Locations

Our First Aid Courses are delivered at Rhydd Covert Scout Camp, next door to the West Midlands Safari Park and Alveley Village Hall, which is conveniently located just off the main A-road between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth, with easy access and parking.

Group bookings can be delivered at your venue by arrangement.
