Different environments. New opportunities to shine.
At Bear Creek Adventures, we deliver exciting, hands on outdoor enrichment programmes and activity days for primary and secondary schools across Shropshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and the surrounding areas.
From kayaking and climbing to bushcraft, archery and woodland exploration, our activities give pupils opportunities to develop confidence, teamwork, resilience and practical skills in environments beyond the classroom.
Whether you're looking for a one off adventure day, a programme of regular enrichment sessions or activities tailored to particular learning and development objectives, we'll work with you to create an experience that meets your school's needs.
Outdoor Enrichment with a Purpose
We believe that different environments can reveal different strengths.
A quieter pupil might emerge as a leader during a team challenge. Another might discover a talent for problem solving through bushcraft or develop newfound confidence by learning to paddle a kayak.
Our programmes are designed to complement classroom learning, giving pupils opportunities to:
-
Build confidence, resilience and independence
-
Develop teamwork, communication and leadership skills
-
Strengthen friendships and positive relationships
-
Explore nature and develop environmental awareness
-
Discover new interests, talents and practical abilities
-
Experience the satisfaction of overcoming challenges
By learning through experience, pupils can develop valuable skills that extend well beyond their time outdoors.
Flexible Enrichment Programmes for Schools
Every school is different, so we offer flexible programmes designed around your pupils, priorities and available time.
One Off Outdoor Activity Days
An exciting introduction to outdoor adventure, ideal for school enrichment days, Year 6 post-SATs celebrations, Year 7 transition, team building or rewarding pupils' achievements.
Choose from a range of activities to create a memorable half-day or full-day experience.
SEND Outdoor Enrichment Programmes
We work with schools to create inclusive outdoor experiences tailored to the needs, abilities and interests of pupils with special educational needs.
Through carefully selected activities and supportive environments, pupils can develop confidence, communication, independence and social skills while enjoying new experiences and discovering their strengths.
Regular Enrichment Sessions
For schools looking to develop a more structured approach to enrichment, we can create a series of outdoor sessions delivered across a term or school year.
Programmes can explore different activities and environments, giving pupils opportunities to build skills, confidence and independence over time.
Tailored Personal Development Programmes
We can work with schools to plan activities around particular objectives, such as teamwork, communication, leadership, resilience, wellbeing or engagement with the natural environment.
Whether working with a whole year group or a smaller group of pupils, we'll help you identify activities that support your aims.

Different Environments. Different Opportunities.
One of the strengths of Bear Creek Adventures is the variety of outdoor environments available to schools.
Rather than delivering every programme in the same setting, we can introduce pupils to different landscapes, activities and challenges.
Our locations include:
-
Kinver Scout Camp: Woodland-based adventure activities, climbing, bushcraft, archery and team challenges
-
Kinver & Wolverley Canal: Kayaking, water-based activities and opportunities to explore the canal environment
-
River Severn: Guided canoeing, expeditions, river exploration and environmental discovery
-
Arley Arboretum – Coming Soon: Further opportunities for nature-based learning and outdoor enrichment
Whether your pupils are discovering woodland skills, navigating a waterway or working together on an outdoor challenge, each environment provides opportunities to learn and develop in different ways.

Supporting Your School's Enrichment Priorities
The Department for Education's Enrichment Framework for Schools and Colleges recognises the importance of providing young people with a broad range of experiences beyond the classroom, including nature, outdoors and adventure.
At Bear Creek Adventures, we can help schools explore how practical outdoor experiences can contribute to their wider enrichment provision.
Our programmes can be tailored to support personal development, teamwork, confidence, environmental awareness and the discovery of new interests and abilities.
We understand that organising enrichment activities involves balancing educational objectives, budgets, staffing and practical arrangements. Our team works closely with schools to make planning as straightforward as possible.
Experienced, Professional & Well Organised
With over 40 years of combined paddling and expedition experience, our team brings extensive practical knowledge to the delivery of outdoor adventures and education.
Co-founder Monty Beaumont leads the design and operational delivery of our programmes, while Katie Beaumont brings 20 years of experience working with schools through Acorn Adventure, including school relationships, customer service and activity planning.
Our activities are delivered by experienced instructors, with appropriate qualifications, supervision and safety procedures. We hold an AALA licence for canoeing activities and £10 million public liability insurance.
From your first enquiry to the day of your visit, we're here to help you plan a positive and well organised experience.
